I’ve been dying to attend and photograph the Louisville Zombie Attack since I saw it on the news last year. The “Zombie Attack” or walk is held every year on 8/29 and starts at 8:29pm at the Mid Town Mall in Downtown Louisville. The Walk started in 2005 when two friends with birthdays on 8/29 had a party. That party took hold and has grown each year. Now as many as 10,000 people dress up as zombies and walk the streets of Louisville.
So this week, in sprite of a still being repaired D4 (It’s been more than a month now), I jumped in the truck and headed to Louisville. The effort put into the costumes is truly amazing. There are sone really creative people participating! I was also a little surprised at what a family affair it was with lots of young participants as evidenced in the first picture here. Fortunately I got there an hour or so before the walk began because my D7000 decided to stop working with the flash. Oh well….such is life. I did manage to get a few fun portraits and am already looking to next year.
